DESCRIPTION:Come dance and draw with dancers with Sachin and Anna. This session is a special for DIASPORA!\, offering festival-goers the chance to dance and draw live performers in a collaborative setting. \nAnna\, from South West Dance Theatre\, will lead dance activities based in ballet\, commercial\, and contemporary styles to help participants explore the qualities of movement. Sachin will then guide the group in capturing these motions on paper using a range of artistic techniques. All free\, no need to book – just turn up. \nWINK is a FLINTA DJ collective born in Bristol\, dedicated to celebrating bass music in all its forms across the UK and around the globe. What started as a shared passion for sound system culture has grown into a community-driven project centred on empowerment\, creativity and the joy of the dance floor. \nSpanning a broad spectrum of bass-driven genres\, WINK weaves between styles to create dynamic stories in their sets. Whether rolling through footwork\, dubstep\, breaks\, jungle or global club sounds\, they focus on crafting journeys that honour the roots of bass culture while pushing its boundaries forward. \nYou can also catch them at DIASPORA! on the Decks\, Sunday 3 May\, where they’ll be lighting up the dancefloor with Bristol legends\, Booty Bass.
