This session showcases Aghani Abanat (girls’ songs)\, an important part of wedding rituals in Sudan. \nJoin this interactive circle of drumming\, clapping and movement to experience the rhythmic heart of Sudanese female heritage. No experience needed\, just come ready to feel the rhythm. \nABOUT SUDAFEST CIC \nSudafest CIC is a Sudanese-led community arts organisation\, working primarily with the Sudanese diaspora in the South West of England. Through workshops\, festivals and creative programmes\, they create spaces where culture\, storytelling and artistic expression support connection\, wellbeing and belonging. Over the past seven years\, Sudafest have delivered weekly workshops\, youth theatre\, exhibitions and the annual Sudafest festival.
