Diverse Artists Network is a development agency for diversity in the arts, promoting cultural competency and representation in the sector. Our organisation brings together artists, creatives, and musicians across Bristol and the South West region with the aim of building national and international networks that encompass the broadest spectrum of diversity and representation.

Diverse Artists Network (DAN) is situated in the vibrant neighbourhood of St. Pauls in Bristol and we have garnered a reputation for empowering underrepresented artists and creatives within Bristol regions.

To create a more equitable and just arts and cultural industry by addressing systemic barriers and promoting inclusive and equitable practices;

To increase representation of underrepresented artists in the South West cultural and arts community through our various channels and platforms;

To evolve greater inclusion and diversity in arts and culture, ensuring that a wide range of perspectives and experiences are celebrated.

To diversify the arts and cultural sector workforce encouraging the broadest range of talents and perspectives to contribute to its growth and vibrancy.

Starry Skies & Shambala

“We were delighted to have DAN provide such a great range of wonderful music and voice workshops and talks at Starry Skies and Shambala festival. The workshops were brilliant for teaching young minds and festival goers about the wider world and authentically enriching their cultural experience, plus they sound great and are loads of fun!!!! It was great to see children and adults of all ages enjoying singing, dancing and drumming together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. DAN and their musicians were a joy to work with, communications were all very open and clear and we look forward to working with them in future.”
