Who can become a member?

Anyone working in the arts or creative sector can join:

  • Festivals and creative networks
  • Individual artists and creatives
  • Bands or artist collectives
  • Small, medium, and large organisations or venues
What are the benefits of joining Diverse Artists Network (DAN)?

Depending on your membership tier, benefits may include:

  • Access to professional development, mentoring, and training
  • Job and funding opportunities
  • Promotional features via DAN channels
  • Discounts for Vocalise Magazine and partner events
  • Monthly Artist Gatherings
  • Consultation and advocacy support
  • Inclusion in DAN’s newsletters and across Instagram and Facebook stories
Can bands or collectives join?

Yes! Bands or collectives are encouraged to select the Sprouts membership tier. A lead member should liaise with the DAN Team if needed. Individuals within a group may also join under the Seeds tier.

Can I join the DAN Agency through membership?

Yes. Members are eligible to apply to join the DAN Agency, which provides additional advocacy and representation.

What if I can’t afford the membership fee?

DAN is committed to accessibility. Subsidised prices are available for refugees and asylum seekers. If cost is a barrier, please contact hello@diverseartistsnetwork.com to discuss options.

What’s the difference between members and non-members?

Non-members can still receive our general newsletter. However, members gain exclusive access to resources, events, development opportunities, and promotional support.

Why is DAN introducing this membership scheme?

The scheme supports DAN’s aim to become self-sufficient, reduce dependency on unsustainable funding, and continue offering valuable, affordable support to a growing network of diverse creatives.
