About Karen Chard

Karen Chard is a versatile multimedia artist with a practice rooted in nature, the changing seasons, and life cycles. She works with clay, creating tiles, as well as in sewing, embroidery, spinning, and weaving. Her passion for learning about other cultures informs much of her creative exploration. Karen has extensive experience running outdoor workshops for children and community members, always adapting her activities to suit varied age groups and needs. Her work fosters a sense of connection—to nature, to heritage, and to one another—through hands-on craft, shared stories, and inclusive, joyful creativity.
