Our monthly Artist Gatherings are designed to bring together members of our network to connect, share their projects, hear from guest artists, and network.

This month’s session will be led by Lildonia Lawrence, with a focus on self-care and wellbeing.

Would you like some practical tips on how to stay grounded, compassionate and connected in times of social and political upheaval? Then join us on Friday, 31 October in the Community Workshop space at Arnolfini from 11am-1pm.

Through discussion, reflection, and mindful movement, we’ll consider the embodied impact of rising fascism, the emotional weight of social media, and practical ways to protect our energy. Together, we’ll nurture calm and love as powerful acts of collective resistance and care.

Lildonia Lawrence is a Wellbeing Coach and Equity & Diversity Trainer. Having worked in the field since 2010, she specialises in BIPOC wellbeing, anti-racism, and equitable healthcare. Her passion stems from the belief that everyone, especially those facing social exclusion, deserves access to top-tier mental health and wellbeing education.

She is the author of Back Yourself: A Wellbeing Guide to Healing from Racial Trauma and hosts the Intersections podcast.
