Bristol Harbour History Tour: DIASPORA! Special

Enjoy a tour of the harbour from the water in this special collaboration with Bristol Community Ferry Boats for DIASPORA!
Explore the city’s maritime history, from its role in the transatlantic slave trade to the Floating Harbour as it stands today, alongside a special performance from Bristol poet, Muneera Pilgrim, reading her poem In Praise of Diaspora.

ABOUT MUNEERA
Muneera Pilgrim is a poet, cultural producer, writer, broadcaster, community researcher, TEDx and WOW Festival speaker, and Obsidian alumni. She’s currently in residence at Bristol Old Vic until 2030 where she will write at least 2 plays.
She performs, conducts workshops, guest lectures, hosts, and finds alternative ways to educate and exchange ideas while focusing on methodologies of empowerment for non-centred people. Muneera is a storyteller, concerned with telling stories to disrupt mainstream narratives. Rooted in spirituality she uses poetry as a tool for community building, archiving, enrichment and change.
