Join musician Alphonse Daudet Touna for a steel pan workshop exploring African Caribbean melodies and rhythms. By the end of the session, participants will come together to play a short tune as an ensemble. No experience needed, just turn up. This event is part of Jam on the Horizon, 15 hours of music from around the world, across five local venues.
ABOUT ALPHONSE
Alphonse Daudet Touna is an experienced music workshop leader, performer and founder of several world music groups including Helele Band and AfCa Vibe steel drum band. His workshops span steel drum, guitar, keyboard, Balafon, African drumming and choir singing, delivered across educational and community settings. As a solo artist he blends acoustic Balafon, steel drum and guitar with a repertoire of global songs, with the aim of inspiring creativity, cultural connection and joy through music.
