Artist Gathering: Balancing Parenthood With A Creative Career

Our monthly Artist Gatherings are designed to bring together members of our network to connect, share their projects, and discuss areas where support is needed within the arts community.

Join us on Friday, 27 June, 11 AM–1 PM at Arnolfini Arts for our next Artists Gathering, on balancing parenthood with a creative career. Led by Dr Natalie Hyacinth, this session is for anyone juggling lots of different roles alongside their creative practice.

Natalie is a sound artist and writer, creating and thinking about music at the intersections of technology, climate justice and Black life. Her research is intersectional and interdisciplinary, incorporating themes from Cultural Geography, Philosophy and Afrofuturism. Experimenting with sounds and sonic technologies as a form of defiance and resistance, Natalie seeks to create new sound worlds as part of her activism, a creative practice she explores under the name The Black Astral.
