Artist Retreat: Deep Time Walk with Diverse Artists Network and EcoWild

In this 2 hour walk through beautiful countryside south of Bristol you will get to know the land as well as connecting with the past and the great flow of life that has brought us into existence!
We will walk at a steady pace to suit the needs of the group, and there will be pauses as we step through Deep Time – the epic journey that has formed this landscape and that will continue beyond our lives. You will be invited to share reflections with others in the group as part of this. The route is gently undulating fields without steep inclines. We will visit the Stanton Drew ancient standing stones site along the way.
This practice is drawn from the Active Hope work by Joanna Macey and others that invites us to see with ancient eyes, offering new perspectives to this short time we have on earth.
On the way back we will Gather the Gifts of our Ancestors and let the land guide us through the human journeys behind each of us.
This walk is for Diverse Artist Network members and any other Diasporic Creatives. The route is not wheelchair accessible.
Meeting place: Outside the Rising Sun, Church Street, Pensford.
