DIASPORA! on Screen

Hosted by film blogger and critic Oreoluwa Ige, this session features a selection of films from Inaz Hussain (Belong), Louise Ndibwirende (Rice at Home) and Jessica Olivia Neill (Green Hills). Each work explores themes of identity, home and belonging, and what that means to people with a history of migration. After the screenings, Ore will chair a brief Q&A with the creators. ABOUT OREOLUWA
Oreoluwa Ige is a Bristol-based film critic and blogger with a developing specialism in independent film from filmmakers of marginalised backgrounds across the South West and UK. He regularly shares reviews and hosts events, and brings that curatorial eye to his role as host for this session.

Inaz Hussain is a multifaceted Bangladeshi artist born in Bristol working across film, photography and documentary. His work highlights stories spanning social justice, mental health, identity and community, with a focus on building connections across backgrounds and generations.

Louise Ndibwirende is a TEDx and keynote speaker, multi-award winning equality specialist and documentary director who has spent over a decade driving culture transformation across sectors. Her films Speak Little One and Rice at Home bring authentic stories of lived experience to the screen.

Jessica Olivia Neill is a Bristol-based writer and creative. She has written, produced and directed two independent, crowd-funded films: The Escape, in honour of the memory of her father, the late Jamaican magician Bunny Neill, and Green Hills, about returning with her brother to their childhood home in Jamaica.
