DIASPORA! Online: Estate to Stage: Echoes, Breath & Words

Join poet, Sharena Lee Satti, for this all-abilities workshop exploring how identity and home can shape creative expression. The session invites participants to reflect on their own stories, the echoes of memory and the spaces they inhabit, transforming personal experience into authentic poetry.
Through gentle prompts, guided exercises and discussion, participants will:
– explore how identity, background and community influence their poetic voice
– experiment with transforming personal stories and journeys into poetry
– learn ways to weave emotions into spoken word, giving them life upon the page.
No experience is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to try something new. This workshop celebrates resilience, belonging and self-expression, providing a quiet space to explore, create and be heard.
