West African Dance
Join Foli – Bristol Djembe Players for a day of playing and dancing together to soulful West African rhythms. Led by guest teachers Abram Diallo from Guinea and Seneke Sillah from the Gambia, these sessions invite participants to bring their spirit, energy and drums to the circle.
10.30am – 12pm: West African Dance
Led by Abram Diallo, this workshop focuses on traditional movement and is suitable for all levels of experience.
1pm – 4pm: West African Djembe Drumming
Led by Seneke Sillah, this session explores the rhythmic heart of the Gambia. Both workshops are open to everyone, regardless of experience. Limited djembes are available for hire, so please book early to reserve one or bring your own.
Age: 18+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
